What type of magic shows do you perform?

We offer two formats for your consideration:

The Stand-Up Comedy Magic Act:

This program features magician Christopher Starr performing his hilarious comedy magic stand-up act. Generally working alone, Chris will engage your audience with his keen wit and topical sense of humor. You and your guests will be laughing in astonishment with a show highlighted by hilarious comedy, amazing magic and lots of audience participation. Christopher Starr's laugh-a-minute comedy magic show has been used by event planners and entertainment directors as a spectacular event finale for banquets, award ceremonies, private parties, association functions, etc.

The Comedy Magic and Illusion Show:

This show combines the best of magic and mind boggling illusions with the wit and comedy of Christopher Starr. Chris's performances also include lots of audience involvement. Your guests will join Chris and the girls on stage and become part of the show. Audience members have been known to levitate, be cut in half, and much much more! This is a fast paced, high energy and memorable part of any corporate banquet or business meeting. This production has also been a huge success at corporate family events, fund-raisers, church events, college campuses and high school and elementary events.

Which show is right for my event?

For a seated audience with attention focused on the performance area, the COMEDY MAGIC STAND UP SHOW or the ILLUSION SHOW is your best option. If you are serving dinner, present the COMEDY MAGIC STAND UP SHOW or the ILLUSION SHOW immediately after dinner. Christopher Starr can customize any of his shows to meet your specific needs.

How much is it going to cost?

Each show has a standard performance fee (plus travel where applicable).

It is important to know what you have budgeted for entertainment, so that we can come up with a show to meet your budget and needs. For example, the illusion show is transported in our own truck, and requires not only on-stage help but off-stage help as well. We are very cost conscious and we want to deliver the best possible show for your event.

Christopher Starr is committed to providing the highest quality entertainment at an affordable price. Many factors contribute to the total investment: type of show, performance location, length of show, etc.

How far in advance should I book a show?

Christopher Starr is available 365 days a year and performs almost that number of shows. The earlier you book, the better your chances that he will be available on your preferred date. Holidays and weekends tend to fill quickly, so CALL NOW to avoid disappointment.

How much work will I have to do?

Almost NONE! Once the show is booked, Christopher Starr makes your job VERY EASY and HASSLE FREE. He will supply everything necessary: sound system, wireless microphones, tables, backdrop systems, stagehands, and lighting. You provide the performing area and an audience; Christopher Starr will take care of the details so YOU CAN RELAX!

How much space do I need to provide?

The STAND UP SHOW requires a performing area of 12' x 12'

The ILLUSION SHOW requires a minimum performing area of 16' x 20'

A portable stage/platform is preferred so your guests will be able to see better. However, Christopher Starr can perform without one if none are available.

Can our company executive be a part of the magic?

Absolutely! Everyone loves seeing "the boss" on stage, gently poking fun at him/herself! Christopher Starr can work with you to include an appropriate illusion or routine that turns your executive into a star!

How long are the shows?

The STAND UP SHOW is typically either 30-60 minutes.

The ILLUSION SHOW is typically 60 minutes.
